Mousepads
Freelance Graphics mousepad with the tagline "the smartest way to successful presentations." Notice that the graphic output is a 35mm slide - that was a very common format in the 1980's and 1990's since color printers were still very expensive. The cartoon guy was named "Presentation Pete" and we spent many hours discussing how smart Pete was and what sort of imaginary life he was leading. Pete was used on marketing materials for Freelance for DOS, Windows and OS/2.

ViP Developers Conference "Dilbert" Mousepad, 1995
The first (and I'm pretty sure last) ViP Developer's Conference was held in the Spring of 1995 in Boston. It was actually quite well attended, as I recall. Scott Adams was the guest speaker, and this mouse pad was a giveaway to all attendees. It has been in my collection ever since. It shows some signs of wear and tear in the lower left corner.
LIE TO YOUR COMPUTERCOMPUTERS HATE PEOPLE. THEY WILL DESTROY YOUR DATA JUST TO BE MEAN. YOUR BEST STRATEGY IS TO LIE TO YOUR COMPUTER AND CONVINCE IT THAT YOU DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR DATA.
DILBERT: NO IMPORTANT DATA HERE ... NO, JUST A BUNCH OF TRIVIAL WORDS AND NUMBERS THAT I COULDN'T CARE LESS ABOUT....PC: HE'S BLUFFING ... I'M GOING DOWN, SUCKER.
